The Good Shepherd Center currently:
- Provides food to an average of over 1,700 people per month
- Issues approximately 30,000 pounds of food per month
- Distributes personal care products and diapers as requested
- Furnishes 5 articles of clothing to each person per household per month
- Allows selection of 5 miscellaneous items per month, such as shoes, bedding, dishes, toys, etc
- Provides transportation via ETHRA for medical appointments
- Assists with emergency housing for fire victims
- Through partnerships with area utilities companies, we are able to offer $50 vouchers per year per family for utility payments.
- provides a layette set for each newborn baby
- provides “kid friendly foods” during school breaks
- partners with individuals for our “Christmas in July” program to provide a new outfit of clothing for over 300
children to start school - and December provides holiday foods during the months of November
- furnishes blankets, fans, heaters, and canning supplies through grant funds
